Warm days. Time off, trimming trees, swimming, pulling weeds, playing music, reading, resting. All good.

The clutter of life gets ahead sometimes. Feels good to deal with some of it.

And so, off to find some of the tools I need...they have a tendency to wander off.

At restaurants I'm sometimes pretty quiet, which can be awkward if the idea is to have a good conversation. But sometimes there's a lot to think about. Lost in inner space.

Watched "Pursuit of Happyness" with my son last night. We talked about how many people are stuck in difficult situations. And then fell asleep.

Today - my brother's birthday (Hi, I.! I'll send something shortly), a picnic with friends, and the group plays at a coffeehouse later...looks beautiful out, will likely do some pulling of weeds, cutting of branches, and maybe even scraping of paint.

Studies go on. Learning the rules and lingo about patents. Taking the odd break to read or write something else, but mainly studying.

Plenty of fireworks in the streets yesterday, someof them sounding a bit louder than in previous years, I think people are pushing the limits on what fireworks they personally set off. But I didn't hear any sirens, so no major mishaps.

Back to work today, beautiful sunny morning and hopefully I can get out and go for a walk.

Rest of the crew here doing fine. Some are helping with preparations for a farm auction in Iowa - out among cornfields.
