Rain. Gentle rain. The apple blossoms are surviving it.

Sewing machine running in the background as the mother sews her daughter's dress for the school dance. Shiny blue dress, gathered straps. And a beautiful girl. But she's working right now.

Quiet here on news of a girl being hit by a car. One doesn't know what to say.

A good evening to think.

A little thing can change everything from a blue dress to a blue day and a car.
One to carry a beautiful girl to a dance. And another to carry a girl away.

It makes you stop and think...

Annie -

Today some people came to the door to talk about their religion and made mention of the girl who was hit (and actually died later). A dog happened to be nearby leaving a rather malodorous gift in the plants, which shortened their stay.

Today is my daughters big day with the dance. The dress is mostly done except for the usual last minute adjustments. Hope I can do my part, which is mainly to be on hand to take pictures before they all head off in a limo for dinner. Bit extravagant by me but it does simplify the driving part.

Beautiful day here.

Hello Annie -

She's home after staying up quite late, but still smiling. Or resting, by now.
