Whew! Quite a day.

Up at 3:30 AM to prepare for a 9:00 presentation, using something that was emailed to me at 12:10 AM. I think maybe we're overbooked somehow. The presentation went great, but I'm not sure how much of that is a good idea.

Spent this afternoon taking care of the car purchase - all done! Now we are just going to have a little dinner, relaxing together before brother-in-law T. drives home in his newly purchased vehicle - all worked out pretty well.

The digital camera arrived! It's on the table with various accessories. May have a look at all of that later on and start getting some digital images for the blogs. Yipee!

P. is doing better, showing uncle T. something at the moment - he's a good host.

That's it! News from Tijuana sounds like things are going well, busy with some building fix-up stuff. More tomorrow.

New baby cousin yesterday! A niece! And now there are three sisters.

Today I may be simply taking time off since it is spring break and two are at home not feeling well.

Hazy morning as I sip the tea. No news from Tijuana is good news. No news re baby, but we'll probably hear something today (?) I'm sure they are busy. 'Mom' has a pretty well established cough. Cat #1 sitting on back deck scanning for birds and squirrels. Work looks moderately impossible, but it's a new day. Mild flood in basement over the weekend, result of my Rube Goldberg solution to managing water flow through the ancient floor drain system (piece of PVC with holes drilled in it stuck into the drain of the tub next to the washing machine. I took it out to rinse out the fishbowl after disposing of an expired goldfish and forgot to put the tube back in). Put everything back in place last night - my makeshift 'office'. It's not as cold there now that the outside temp. is getting into the 50's.

Plenty of paperwork to handle the next few days...

Marching Away

Daughter #2 off to Mexico, to the orphanage, she is no doubt there by now. Waiting for news on the new 'cousin' who will likely be born today. Kind of a normal day at work. Sickie son getting better, eating, sleeping, making jokes. 'Mom' and daughter #3 out shopping. That's about it for today.

For Us

This one more of a family update.

One sickie, one heading for Mexico, one spending lots of time with friends, one helping another family move, and yours truly at the keyboard when he can. Oh, and one at her dorm. Car purchase in next few days, while my sister waits for now overdue child #3 prior to moving and selling us their car. Digital camera ordered. Off to swim lesson tonight, learning to swim without spluttering and at this age but I have a good teacher who is patient and encouraging. All for now and more tomorrow.
